Hello

I’m Nanette. I’ve been lovingly handcrafting lampshades for over 10 years.

Whilst I’m based in Woodbridge in Suffolk, you can find my lampshades all around the world!

About Me

My passion for lampshades began in 2016, almost by accident. I was looking for a simple, plain fabric for a craft project when I came across the work of a local maker using beautiful, bright fabrics to create homeware. It was completely different from what I had set out to find, but it sparked an idea and I was hooked.

I began experimenting with fabrics and teaching myself how to make lampshades. Over the years, I’ve developed my own style and techniques, but what I love about it hasn’t changed, taking a beautiful fabric and turning it into something unique that can completely change the feel of a room.

My Clients

Over the years, I’ve created bespoke lampshades for many private customers, as well as for hotels, restaurants, galleries, interior designers and businesses.

No two projects are quite the same. I enjoy working with each customer to understand what they’re looking for and create something that feels right for them and the space it will become part of.

A Statement

It was a real pleasure making this beautiful silhouette lampshade for such a lovely client, and knowing it was going to hang in her gorgeous entrance space made it even more special.

At four feet in diameter, it’s made from beautiful quality velvet and is wonderfully subtle during the day. But when the light goes on, the colourful inner fabric shines through, completely changing the look of the shade and bringing all those gorgeous colours to life.

I love working with beautiful, good quality fabrics, particularly velvet, linen, cotton, silk and embroidered fabrics. I source from trusted stockists and well-known designers.

I also love putting contrasting fabrics together, sometimes two quite simple fabrics can create something beautiful.
